A Grand Opening

We were very luckily invited to the launch night of the brand new Grand on Lord St. Well we say “brand new”………..

The Grand, which was built in 1923 started life as a car showroom before being transitioned into a luxury cinema in 1938. The cinema closed in 1966 and The Grand became a bingo hall before becoming a casino. The casino closed in 2016 and the building has stood empty until now.

The Grand has been brought back to life in absolutely stunning style. As the building was built in the 1920’s the building boasts everything the Art Deco era had to offer. The Grand has retained a lot of the original features (which thrills us) and in keeping with this, the decor and running theme throughout, is the roaring 20’s!

The bar area (Harry’s Bar) is an opulent spacious area, offering plenty of seating areas. You can then enjoy live piano at Chloe’s piano bar which seamlessly takes you through to the brasserie.

All decorated in stunning 1920’s style. No feature has been overlooked and we can guarantee you will be transported back to another time filled with nothing but glamour.

Take a look at our pictures below. The Grand is open to the public now.
