Birkdale Christmas Fayre Is Supporting 2 Great Charities

Birkdale Village Christmas Fayre is taking place Sunday 27th November 10am - 6pm.

Two charities have been chosen as this years benefactors: Compassion Acts and The Salvation Army Toy Appeal. The donation stations for both charities can be found, on the day, outside of Sally Bee’s and Polanskys.

‘Compassion Acts - join their mission to reduce poverty and enhance wellbeing in Southport’

We are asking, if you can, to help families have a bit of luxury this Christmas. Instead of the usual food bank donations, we are asking for Christmas luxuries families will enjoy this Christmas, such as: tins of biscuits, tins of crackers, tins of sweets, boxes of chocolates and selection boxes.

‘The Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal’

The Salvation Army Toy Appeal, last year helped nearly 500 local children receive a gift and over 200 families.

We are asking, again if you can, for new and unwrapped gifts for ages 0-18 years, along the lines of:

0-2 years: baby toys, dolls, teddy bears, bath toys. 7-12 years: colouring sets, books, t-shirts. Teenagers: vouchers for cinema tickets / bowling alley, bath and body sets.

Both charities rely on donations to continue their work, so if you're looking for a good deed to do this festive season, then why not visit the Fayre and donate?

This gives you a chance to help out those in need while enjoying all that the fayre has to offer. Whether it's browsing through the craft stalls, enjoying the fair ground rides, indulging in the festive food and drinks stalls, listening to live music or testing your luck on raffles, there's something for everyone at this years event. So why not come down and support 2 good causes at the same time?
